About the Project

Through a genuinely consultative approach we invite you to contribute your forest understories, share your knowledge  and collaborate to develop an Ecological Management Plan. This will be used to identify opportunities and guide the development of a local Bushfire Resilience Framework and help reduce the severity of future catastrophic events. Climate change and shifting weather patterns continue to impact bushfire risk, frequency and severity around the globe, learning lessons from past events and identifying actions we can take to manage this risk is critical.

Funding from the Landcare Led Bushfire Recovery Grants will support community activities to take a deep dive into the risk reduction and preparedness measures we can implement as a community. The target sites include wet sclerophyll ecological communities, on private and public sites located in Tallebudgera Valley along Petsch Creek and Tallebudgera Creek. Sign up and join us to tell your forest 'understories'.

This event has a group. You’re welcome to join the group once you register for the event.
